a new music find

Hi :)

This week I've been getting caught up on my blog reading as well as starting a bunch of Christmas presents, on top of working on a commission project (pictures for this to come... just know it is the biggest project I have been commissioned to do!)

While getting caught up on my blog reading, I checked one of my favorite blogs by Chandi of Expression Fiber Arts. In one particular post she updated on a scarf she was working on, which happened to be started the same time as the KAL that I started and the same exact project for the KAL (mentioned herehere, and here), so I was excited to see her finished piece.

Not only was her scarf gorgeous, she also included a YouTube video of a man singing acapella. I listened and I was immediately covered in goosebumps.

I've been listening to him non stop since; while crocheting, knitting, playing games on Facebook... he is in the background.

I am not a super religious person and I won't get into any religious things on here, but his voice is so beautiful and angelic. It makes me smile and feel good inside.

All this talk just to share with you :) I believe his voice should be shared.
So just take a moment and listen, you won't regret it!

Sam has other videos on his YouTube channel, so if you enjoyed this, I suggest you go check it out :)

Thanks for reading and listening. I hope you're having a wonderful day!

new series :: polished

Hi :)

Today I'm introducing another series I'll be calling:

I love nail polish and I am obsessed with looking at nail art on Pinterest and from other bloggers [see here and here], so I thought that I would have posts dedicated to this love of mine with links to nail art tutorials and pictures of designs to inspire you.

This week's theme is: Leopard Print

(via)
I came across this website [Pack A Punch Polish] on Pinterest and I was excited from the first glance.
Most of Samantha's designs are inspired by outfits or an item of clothing she has. If I had the time and polish, I would totally be doing this as well lol

On her blog, she not only pictures her designs, but she also has video tutorials that show you how to re-create the design yourself.
So, I'll be posting a lot of her designs in this series :)

She also has a YouTube channel if you want to check out some of her other designs and videos.

That's all for today. I hope you give this design a try. Let me know if you have any designs worth sharing :)
See you back here tomorrow!

monday, funday :: vol 8

 photo mondayfunday_zps3d2b177e.jpg

Hi :)

Today I'm sharing 2 versions of crocheted boot cuffs:

(via)
These cuffs are great. They're a simple pattern, but they looks so fun! And I love the color :)

FREE PATTERN. Get the cute chunky sock look, without having the bulk in your boots. Crochet these easy reversible boot cuffs.
(via)
These are perfect because they're reversible! You crochet the 2 pieces separately and then sew them together.

These boot cuffs are a great way to keep your calves nice and toasty and they work up quickly so they would also make a nice present or stocking stuffer ;)

See you tomorrow, friend!

Friday, November 1

the day after

Hi :)

I hope you all had a great Halloween!

Happy November! [WTH... Where are the days going?!]

This was me last night when we got home from trick-or-treating:
The Halloween Haul

"I eats all the candies!!!!!"

When we get home from Trick-or-Treating, I like to sort (and inspect) my son's candy. I keep most of the chocolate candies and give my son only a few of the other candies. A little bit of sugar really gets him going so I try not to give him too many sweet things, especially since I have to repeat myself infinity times before he never does what I asked him to do and I give up.

I came across this funny chart on Pinterest about Halloween candies after I did my sorting last night:

I laughed a little longer than I should have at the raisins part, which is why I thought to share.
(I actually like raisins though, so...)

Before bed, I had a few (maybe a lot) of the chocolates, and this is me today:

I totally feel chocolate wasted.
And I have a splitting migraine. [The kind where I wear my sunglasses all day... even if I'm inside.]
No more chocolates for me for a while.

Today, I plan on laying on the couch (with my sunglasses on), maybe taking a nap (if my guys don't bother me), and praying that this headache will go away very soon.

I hope you have a great weekend!!
If you are going out and doing adult things for Halloween, please be safe!

I will see you Monday, friend.
