monday funday :: ten stitch blanket

Hi :)

How was your weekend?

I've been keeping myself busy knitting things to *hopefully* put up in my still-not-open-yet online store... I have a deadline in my head, but things always seem to come up and then that date gets moved to and undecided future date.

Anyhow, this week's Monday Funday is another great knitting pattern for those just starting out and wanting a challenge:

I'm going to start one of these myself soon and use all my scraps! Should be a nice colorful blanket :)

monday funday :: easy dishcloth

Hi :)

I'm back!!!

I had a great week off! Besides moving into a new place and not being able to knit or crochet for a few days, I spent a lot of time with my guys :)

Anywho... Let's get back to the program!

Today's project is one I've wanted in my pattern stash ever since I learned to knit. This pattern can not be traced back to an original source, but every knitter either knows this pattern by heart or has been showed/taught it by one of the greats in their family or whoever taught them to knit.

Give this one a try!

monday, funday :: sweet november shawl

Hi :)

Today's project is another that has been in my Ravelry queue for a while now: Sweet November Knit Shawl

(picture via)
{pattern found here}

I think it is perfect for this Springtime weather because it isn't heavy or thick! Hopefully I will be able to make one for myself soon :)

monday, funday :: brioche infinity scarf

Hi :)

Today I am sharing a pattern that was in my Ravelry queue for quite a while. I just started working on it recently and I love the easy-going-ness of this pattern :)

(via)

If you know how to cast on, slip a stitch, yarn over, and knit 2 together, you can make this scarf :)

{However, if you don't know how to do these things, here is a video showing how to knit the brioche stitch.}

And here is my finished scarf!! :)
(via)

I really enjoyed making this scarf and I foresee many of these being made in the future!

monday, funday :: spring bunny

Hi :)

Today's project is a quick one: Crochet Spring Bunny

(via)

I love those little tails!!

These would be super cute as a brooch, or hung like a tag from an Easter present, or you can make it into a garland as shown on the pattern site:

Love this!

Let me know if you make one (or a bunch!)

monday funday :: Easter egg garland

Hi :)

Don't have any Easter/Spring decorations? Have lots of scraps of yarn? Then today's project is perfect for you!

Fun and quick and gets rid of those super small amounts of yarn that you might not know what the heck to do with :)

Have a great Monday!!

On another note, my hubby is going in for a pretty serious procedure this morning so lots of positive vibes and prayers (if you pray) our way. I'm very anxious and nervous... I will try to update, but I won't be going into too much detail, as I want to keep some personal things to myself.

monday funday :: basket weave blanket

Hi :)

Since it is Springtime, and lots of baby showers are coming up, today's project is a quick (ish) pattern for anyone wanting to give a home made gift: Basket Weave Blanket

Basketweave Blanket
(knit version via)

(crochet version via)

I have given handmade baby sets at showers before and let me tell you, it is THE best feeling seeing the (emotional/hormonal) mommy-to-be opening your gift with tears in her eyes and absolutely gushing over it.

Nothing is better than handmade with love, in my opinion :)

Give it a try!

monday funday (on a friday) :: 4 leaf clover

Hi :)

Since St. Patrick's Day is Monday, I'm sharing a Monday, Funday pattern today so you'll have time to make something so you don't get pinched on Monday for not wearing your green!

(via)

This would be great to add to a headband or glue a pin to the back and you can wear it on your shirt or jacket!

[I couldn't find a knitted version, so I apologize to my knitters out there! If you find one, please share!]

Have a great weekend!
xoxo

monday funday :: loopy love blanket

Hi :)

If you've been crocheting for a while, there's a chance you've heard of the blog called Moogly.
Tamara has some amazing patterns, round ups, and tutorials that she shares with her readers.

She recently posted a new FREE pattern on her blog called: Loopy Love Blanket

This pattern includes directions for 6 different blanket sizes! So amazing!

I am so excited to start this blanket myself... A family member recently asked if I could make a blanket for a baby shower for this upcoming weekend so I will be working as quickly as I can on this beauty!

Give it a try yourself! :) I'd love to see photos!

Remember, you can always go to my Ravelry projects page to see what I'm working on. I try to regularly update project information with my personal notes and photos.
Add me as a friend too!!

These colors are so good together... I love the South Western vibe as well :)

I hope you give it a try!

I am trying to get back into my regular blogging schedule, but if there are some missed days, know that I am still here; just taking care of some personal issues at the moment :)

Thanks for sticking around!

monday, funday :: vol 22

Hi :)

Today's project is for those of us (mainly myself) who forget or wait until the last minute to worry about gift giving and need something quick and easy:

Crochet Heart Coffee Cozy

Great, right?! :)

You could always leave it plain or add a different applique to it. Make it your own!

Happy crafting!
See you tomorrow, friend :)

monday, funday :: vol 21

Hi :)

Today's project is super quick, super easy, and  great little decoration to get you into the Valentine's Day spirit: Paper Heart Garland

(via)

So cute!

And if you're like me, and you like hearts, you can keep this decoration up longer than just Valentine's Day... Maybe do different colors and different patterned paper to mix it up a bit :)
