Hi :)
I don't know if you have heard about this amazing idea, but I am a little late to the party...
Fortunately, I can still get caught up!
I found out about it through Stacey's Instagram account. I don't know why I didn't think to do this before, or why I had never heard of it, but I am so grateful for Instagram because I would have never known about it!
What is it?
♥ The crochet mood blanket is a blanket that you crochet (or you can choose to knit).
♥ You can choose to add to your blanket everyday of the year (365), or you can choose to add weekly (52).
♥ You use colors that you like and that you have assigned based on your mood for that day/week.
What are the rules?
♥ You crochet/knit a square or stripe everyday (or once a week if that suits you better) in 2014 using a color that you feel reflects your mood.
{The color choices are totally up to you! I think it's important that you use colors that you like so that it doesn't get boring. Plus you'll want a blanket you'd like to keep after all that hard work!!}
♥ If you make squares, the amount of rounds you crochet is up to you.
Where can I follow/share progress?
♥ There is a group on Facebook where others in the group share their progress and ask questions along the way.
♥ If you want to follow along and share on Instagram, use the hashtag: #crochetmoodblanket2014
So, I've written down my color choices and what mood they represent:
I'm still deciding which pattern I want to do... I have 3 in mind:
Which one to go with... hmmmm...
Knowing me, I'll go with something totally different than these 3 patterns lol
I'll be updating my Facebook page, Instagram, Ravelry, and Flickr with my progress, so stop by to see how it's coming along :)
So, are you in?!
If you have already started your blanket, leave a comment with the link so I can see your progress! :)
Have a great weekend!
I'm really excited to do this! I saw the idea last year, but it was just too late to start!!!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Have you started yet?
DeleteI went yarn shopping today and figured out a layout (after giving up on stripes, It was going to end up being 20 feet long for the pattern I wanted to use!), and I have my days journaled so I know what I'm doing, but I'm not letting myself start until after I finish my niece's Valentine's Hat so she can actually get some wear out of it (though let's face it a 4 yr old in pink and hearts is adorable no matter what!).
DeleteOh my gosh! 20 feet?! lol I haven't journaled :( I've been bad about that haha I made the first 10 days and then I got behind again. I just have a few more to do though so it shouldn't take long at all. My squares are small. Do you have an Instagram? I'd love to see your progress :)
