Hi :)
I hope you had a great weekend!
Friday evening, I trimmed my hair (finally)!
I've been wanting to trim it for a while, but it's just been too dang hot and when I trim my hair myself, I have to straighten it because my hair is so curly and I am in no way a hair dresser or expert. So, I'm happy to have been able to do it finally.
(Sleepy) (Sunburned)
Saturday, I was supposed to go with my best friend, Eva, to her body building meeting with her trainer, but her trainers were swamped so we ended up going to the Fremont Art and Wine Festival.
We were there from about 12-5 and it was so fun! However, I did get sunburned :( [you can kind of see in the picture above] Thankfully, I was mostly covered (shoulders and neck) so only my face and arms got it bad.
Sunday, was just a relaxing day at home with some reading and crochet.
I'm still reading book 2 in the Harry Potter series. I'm on page 182 of 341 now so I still have a bit to go, but I know I'll be moving on to book 3 (Prisoner of Azkaban) very soon. Can't put it down :)
I'm also working on an amigurumi for my aunt. She loves minions (honestly though, who doesn't?!) so she asked if I could make her one. It's the first minion I've made and the first amigurumi I've worked on in a long time. It cramps up my hands really bad, so I don't make many. I'm excited to see the end result!
Only a few rows in, but so far it's turning out well :)
What about you? What did you do this weekend?
Don't forget to come by tomorrow for another Crochet 101 lesson! We're learning how to do the half double crochet stitch! The lessons are starting to get more exciting now, so you'll want to make sure you stick around :)
See you tomorrow, friend!
I'm going to have to follow the crochet tutorial when I have a bit more time, life is certainly busy right now.
ReplyDeleteYour new haircut looks lovely.
No problem! I made the Crochet 101 tab for that reason :)
DeleteThank you... It feels much better to have shorter hair in this heat.
Wow big difference! I cut my bangs this a few days ago too (I'm always scared I will seriously mess it up)

It feels so much better! I've found that if I go into it not worrying if I'll mess up, it turns out just the way I want so I just try not to think about it too much haha Plus my cousin went to cosmetology school so if I need a fix I can call her :P It always turns out fine though :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by! I love your blog :)
