some personal updates and a recipe

Hi :)

I didn't have anything scheduled to post today... I wasn't even going to drop in today.

I have been so busy and so determined to knock projects off my to-do list, that blog posts have been last on my list of "Things I Have to Get Done Today!!"

But, that doesn't mean that I have totally forgotten about it [the blog]. I just wanted to stop in and let you know that I'm still going to be blogging, it just might not be Monday-Friday as usual.

If you didn't know or if I haven't mentioned it before (I can't remember... *Queen of Horrible Memory here), I have been planning to open up an online store of handmade crochet, knit, and sewn goodies.

Before this year, it was all just ideas and list making (3 years worth), but I have been busily ticking things off of my "Things to Do Before the Online Store Goes Live" list (I make a lot of lists; it's the only way things get remembered around here. [See above parenthesis note*]).

I'm crossing my fingers that by mid-June, there will be a huge, happy, change in my life and I can not wait to share it all with you! :)

So since this isn't a usual post for me, and the Super Bowl is this Sunday, I thought I'd share an easy quick recipe for any Super Bowl parties you might be going to or hosting:

Parmesan Pizza Rollups

Don't these look yummy? And who doesn't love pizza?

Don't forget, you can always follow what I'm doing via my personal/blog Twitter, my crafty/upcoming shop Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. I post almost daily to each of those :)

Thanks for sticking around and supporting my blog journey... I appreciate you and your support means the world to me!!

polished :: polka dot heart

Hi :)

Today's design is one I found on Pinterest with no tutorial or link to where it came from, but it looks simple enough to recreate looking at the picture: Polka Dot Heart

If anyone can find the original source, will you please let me know so I can correct this post?
Thank you!!

today...

Today, we celebrate a man who shared his dreams of what we could be. We are not perfect, but we have come a long way since before him. My hope is that we continue to be better and move in the right direction. No more steps back. There is too much hate in this world and not enough love.

new series: favorites :: earth wool & fire

Hi :)

I'm starting another series here on the blog, and I'm going to simply title it:

In these posts, I'll share people, blogs, shops, etc., that I have found and want to share some of their awesomeness. This isn't really a new thing on the blog (see here), but now it will be it's own series and possibly more frequent here.

For our first 'Favorites' post, I will be sharing this AH-MAZING shop:

- EARTH WOOL FIRE -

I came across them while exploring on Instagram and I am so happy that I have found them! Their most popular item is their yarn bowls, and I can see why! Their work is jaw droppingly beautiful and I can not wait until the day comes when I am able to own one of their masterpieces.

[You can learn more about them here]

I love that they share videos as well as concepts for future bowl ideas, like this one:

Here are some of my favorite yarn bowls:

The skull

The dragon in a cave

The cottage by the water

The elephant

The peacock

Aren't they gorgeous?!
*sigh*

They make basic yarn bowl designs too, as well as mugs, and tea pots... Whatever you want!

You can  contact them through their email at: earthwoolfire[at]ymail[dot]com
*(use @ and . where you see [ ])

and you can follow them at any of the links below:

• TUMBLR • TWITTER • INSTAGRAM • ETSY • PINTEREST • FACEBOOK •

{You'll be glad you did! ;)}
