monday, funday :: vol 16

Hi :)

I hope you all had a great holiday!

I was out and about a lot, so there was not a whole lot of resting, and I have had a sore throat since Friday :( I'm hoping it gets better soon!!!

Today's project is a bolero!
I thought it would be a perfect project to share since New Years Eve is coming up... Something quick to make in time to keep your shoulders warm, but won't cover up your cute dress (or shirt)!

When I first started crocheting, I had no idea these were called boleros (I thought they were called a shawl.
Very different design...) Now I'm obsessed with them! They are the perfect amount of cover up without hiding your cute top ;)

I used to be a Grinch when it came to Christmas... I HATED Christmas music and the pressure to get everyone a gift was a bit too much for me to handle, but now that I have a child and I'm a little bit older, I've given Christmas another chance.

I've learned that it's ok if I'm not able to get EVERYONE a gift. I try my best, but if I can't make it happen, then that is ok. To me, the point of Christmas is spending time with my loved ones and enjoying each other.

There are still a few songs that push my 'HATE-IT-WITH-A-PASSION!' button, but most are tolerable. And my son loves to sing them so that, of course, makes me love them :)

I hope that your day is filled with love and family, weather you celebrate or not.

How cute is that? You could do one nail, like shown above, or do all of your nails!

There is also tutorials on how to make a snowman, Christmas tree, a present, Rudolph, and Christmas hats all in the same post. (So this week's polished is really a 6 for 1 haha)
The blog is in French, but the pictorials are pretty self explanatory. (And if you have Google Chrome, you can translate it to whichever language you speak.)

Have fun trying this design or any one of the other 5 options :)
